The Society of Missionaries of Mary Immaculate came to Malawi with the invitation of His Lordship Alexandro Pegani the Bishop of Mangochi in the year 2010. The Missionaries dedicated themselves in doing socio pastoral and education ministry. We are serving in three dioceses in Malawi, namely; Mangochi, Blantyre and Lilongwe with the vision “To Spearhead Employable Education in Africa and become part of its History”.

With the grace of God, the guidance of Very.Rev.Fr.J.E.Arul Raj and with the collaboration of Sisters of DMI we are running DMI St. John the Baptist University in two campuses. More than 5000 students were graduated from our University in the past one decade. Currently 3000 students are studying in the university.

We support the underprivileged youths with quality education. More than 200 students are supported by various scholarship schemes. Apart from the academic activities the students are tuned with faith based education, life skill education that enhance their learning at all levels and help them to grow more fully as confident, contributing citizen and leaders of an ever increasingly complex and global community.
